I spent 20 years managing IT products. Now, I’m helping you decode music.
The “Why” For over two decades, my world was defined by logic, systems, and efficiency. As a Product Manager in the software industry, my job was to take complex problems and turn them into streamlined, functional solutions.
But when I sat down at the keyboard, I hit a wall.
The traditional way of learning music felt… repetitive, structured and unforgiving. It was built on centuries of “follow my system” rather than “this is how the system works.” While I spent years achieving my Grade 8 diploma, I did not truly understand how a song was constructed so that I could create my own.
The “Shift” I decided to apply my PM mindset to the keys. I stopped looking at sheet music as a set of instructions and started looking at it as a code to be cracked. I looked for the patterns, the “shortcodes,” and the most efficient workflows to go from a simple melody to a professional-sounding production.
The Mission of The Kurious Musician I created The Kurious Musician for people like us.
-
You’re tech-savvy and logical.
-
You value your time and want results you can actually use (like playing in a band or finishing a track).
-
You want to understand the “why” behind the music, not just memorize where to put your fingers.
I’m not a “maestro” on a pedestal. I’m a fellow explorer who has spent years perfecting a practical, human-centric way to master the keyboard and music production.
Let’s stop practicing and start creating.
